    Recipe Tips

    • I recommend shredding your carrots on a cheese grater rather than using already cut matchstick carrots from a bag. This is more traditional and they will soak up the dressing better this way.
    • Add pineapple tidbits for extra sweetness if desired.

    How to Store

Store your carrot raisin salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 - 5 days. The longer your salad sits the more flavorful it will become!

    Recipe FAQs

    Should I soak the carrots?

    • Soaking the carrots is not necessary. For this recipe I peel the carrots so that they are clean and fresh.

Can I make it ahead of time?

    • Absolutely! I love making this salad when I know I have any sort of gathering or party to go to and know I won't have time to make something the day of. This carrot salad with raisins is easy to prepare and (as mentioned above) can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Your salad will stay crisp, fresh, and cold and will be so refreshening and delicious for whoever gets to consume it.

Can I substitute the raisins with craisins?

    • Yes!
