Hello! Happy New Year! Sorry I was MIA for a few weeks. I enjoyed a nice holiday break with the family and traded the distractions of the computer and deadlines for carbs and sugar-loaded foods. But now, like everyone else, I am feeling the effects of those cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies. Mostly in the legs of my pants. I've been doing the squat and lunge thing while trying to shimmy into my jeans, and I actually split the seam on my favorite pair. It was a high moment in my life.
Alas, here we are with healthy food options! This triple berry smoothie bowl is fantastic for transitioning from desserts to no refined sugars. And because we've all made resolutions to eat healthy and cut out the junk in our diets, this is a breakfast or snack we'll be eating all week!
I actually don't make a list of resolutions. I always pick a word for the year, and decided on "self-love" for 2016. And no, not in a narcissistic way; more of a take good care of my mind and body way. So far, so good! I've included a salad in my meals every day and I am trading out candies and baked goods for fruit.
Triple Berry Smoothie Bowls are easy for a healthy breakfast
The nice thing about this berry smoothie bowl is the simple ingredients and how quickly it whips up. It's vegan-friendly and doesn't require a smattering of fancy ingredients you most likely wouldn't have on hand without an exhausting trip to Whole Foods. In other words, it's realistic and straight-forward! It's also really yummy with this homemade granola. Hooray!
People bowl over the world, join hands, hop on the smoothie bowl train, the bowl train! This one is berry delicious. Grab the recipe below. Good luck with your goals and enjoy!
