I buy the Power Greens mix from Costco and use it to make this. The blend includes kale, spinach, and chard. Don’t be put off by those ingredients—I’m not trying to turn you into a farm animal or anything. They are some of the best greens you can eat, and I can rest easy knowing I blend them together in a smoothie first thing in the morning. The ripe banana and vanilla protein powder sweeten the whole deal so it’s actually an enjoyable smoothie, not one of those drinks where you feel like you’re possibly drinking a mixture of tar and the bowels of the jungle floor.

Favorite Power Green Smoothie Recipe
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup protein powder
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 ripe banana frozen
- 1 large handful mixed greens kale, spinach, chard
- Add all the ingredients into a blender. Blend for about 2 minutes or until smooth.
- Pour in two glasses and serve immediately while cold. Enjoy!
