This gyoza dipping sauce recipe is gluten free, only calls for 5 ingredients, and takes 5 minutes to prepare. It’s quick, easy, and truly delicious. I love that you can make it more or less spicy depending on your audience and specific taste preferences.

    What Is Gyoza Sauce?

Gyoza sauce is a dipping sauce that originates from East Asia (mostly China and Japan) used as a dipping sauce for foods like dumplings and potstickers. Some gyoza sauce recipes are made using only soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil. You can simplify the recipe by omitting the granulated sugar and ginger, but I do like the extra flavor they give to the recipe.

If you like a spicier sauce, add in red pepper flakes or chilies.

    Gyoza Sauce Recipe Ingredients

2 tablespoon Gluten Free soy sauce

    ½ tablespoon Rice wine vinegar

    1 teaspoon Sesame oil

    ¼ teaspoon granulated Sugar

    ¼ teaspoon grated Ginger

    Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: In a small bowl, add the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil. Whisk.

    How To Use Gyoza Sauce

Use gyoza sauce as  dipping sauce for potstickers, egg rolls, dumplings, or use it as a sauce for your rice.

    Storage Instructions

Store unused dipping sauce in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

What recipe pairs well with gyoza dipping sauce?

Chili oil is the perfect addition to your gyoza dipping sauce. You can make it as spicy as you like and then add it into your dipping sauce for extra flavor and flare. Make your own chili oil and skip out on the additives and preservatives traditional store-bought hot sauce has.
