Homemade Coconut Butter

- 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional) - 14 oz unsweetened shredded coconut

Step 1: Add the shredded coconut into a food processor. Add the lid and turn the processor to high.

Step 2: Run the processor until the coconut breaks down into a powder. Continue running the processor, scraping down the sides as necessary, until the coconut forms a liquid. It will start off as gritty, but the longer you run the food processor, the smoother it will become.

Step 3: If your coconut butter is having a hard time breaking down, you can add the 1 tbsp of coconut oil for a bit of moisture. Only use this if necessary. Store in an airtight container & enjoy!
