Ingredients

  • 6 Gala Apples

Instructions

  • If using apples with wax on them, wipe the apples down with white distilled vinegar and then rinse them clean.
  • Chop the apples into cubes, discarding the core.
  • Add the apple pieces into a blender with 1 cup of water. Turn the blender to high and blend the apples until they are smooth and completely blended (about 5 minutes).
  • Place a cheesecloth over a strainer, then place the strainer over a large bowl. Pour the apple juice + pulp over the cheesecloth to catch the pulp.
  • Allow any juices to naturally drip out, then gather the corners of the cheesecloth and squeeze until all excess liquid comes out.
  • Scoop into glasses, serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can peel the apples if you’d like, but you don’t have to.
  • The longer you blend the apples, the smoother the mixture will become
  • You can use gala apples, fuji, honeycrisp, red delicious etc. I like gala apples the best.
  • For a more tart apple juice, use granny smith or pink lady apples.
  • You can add various flavoring if desired. Good options are cinnamon, cardamom, other juices, or even alcohol.
