How To Make Crispy Fried Onions

How To Make Crispy Fried Onions

- 2 Yellow Onions, peeled and sliced - 2 cups Canola Oil (or more depending on the size of your pot)

Step 1: Add the oil about 1” deep in a large pot. Turn the heat to medium-high and heat the oil until it reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Once the oil has heated, add the sliced onions. You may need to split the onions in half and do one batch at a time.

Step 3: Fry the onions for about 10 minutes, until they get smaller and begin to brown. Stir occasionally to make sure they cook evenly.

Step 4: Once the onions have browned, remove them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil. Use in your desired recipe, and enjoy!
