Fried Onions Ingredients
2 Yellow Onions, peeled and sliced
2 cups Canola Oil (or more depending on the size of your pot)
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1: Add the oil about 1” deep in a large pot. Turn the heat to medium-high and heat the oil until it reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Once the oil has heated, add the sliced onions. You may need to split the onions in half and do one batch at a time.
Step 3: Fry the onions for about 10 minutes, until they get smaller and begin to brown. Stir occasionally to make sure they cook evenly.
Step 4: Once the onions have browned, remove them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil. Use in your desired recipe, and enjoy!

How Do I Know If The Oil Is Hot Enough
- If you don't have a food thermometer you can stick the end of a wooden spoon into the oil. Your oil is hot enough if bubbles appear around the spoon’s handle. If the oil barely bubbles around the handle, it isn’t hot enough yet - keep cooking!
How Can I Tell That The Onions Are Ready To Be Removed From The Oil?

Storage Instructions
