Homemade Rice Milk
Homemade rice milk can be made with only 2 ingredients and water and is the perfect alternative to dairy milk, coconut milk, and/or almond milk. Rice milk is a light milk that’s full of flavor, which makes it delicious in your smoothies, cereal, coffee, or any of your favorite recipes that call for dairy milk.

1 cup long grain white rice (cooked) 4 cups water 1 teaspoon maple syrup
Add the cooked rice, water and maple syrup to a food processor.
Add the lid and process on high for 2-3 minutes, until the rice has blended into the water.
Line a sieve with cheesecloth and pour the rice milk into the cheesecloth, removing all of the rice pulp from the rice milk.
Discard the rice pulp and serve the rice milk. Enjoy!
You can double strain your rice milk for a smoother finish
If you like a thinner rice milk, you can blend the rice and water for a shorter amount of time
If you don’t like a sweetened rice milk, you can omit the maple syrup
If you want a very sweet rice milk, you can also flavor the milk with honey or dates. Add at the beginning of the process and strain as usual.
