Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • ¼ cup slivered blanched almonds
  • 1 cinnamon stick (broken into pieces)
  • 5 cups water (room temperature)
  • 1 can evaporated milk (14 oz can)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (12 oz can)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix the white rice, almonds, cinnamon stick, and 2 cups of water. Let it soak overnight until the rice grains can easily be broken by pressing them between your fingers.
  • Pour the rice and water mixture into a blender or food processor and blend until everything is completely smooth.
  • Strain the mixture through a sieve and a cheesecloth to catch any large pieces. You may need to do this a few times to get it completely smooth.
  • Add the rice mixture to a large pitcher along with the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, vanilla, and 3 cups of water. Stir to combine.
  • Serve with ice and enjoy!
