How To Roast Garlic

Roasted garlic is SO yummy. It tastes similar to raw garlic but as it roasts in the oven it caramelizes and creates a milder, sweet flavor. So how do you roast garlic? I can’t wait to teach you.
Enjoy your roasted garlic in your favorite soup, salad, as a spread for your toast or sandwich, or just plain; straight out of the oven! It truly is so delicious you can add it to any of your favorite dishes.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove the outside layer of paper from the garlic bulb, but keep the bulb intact with all of the cloves still connected.
  • Use a knife to cut about ¼” off the top of the bulb, leaving a flat top surface and exposing the insides of the cloves.
  • Place the cut bulb in the cavity of a muffin pan. 
  • Drizzle the bulb with the olive oil, then place aluminum foil loosely around the top of the bulb.
  • Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until the top turns brown and the garlic is soft.
