Homemade Orange Juice Recipe

Orange juice is a classic breakfast staple; it’s truly a cup of sunshine! This homemade orange juice recipe is delicious, nutritious, and easy.

Ingredients

  • 8 ripe navel oranges

Instructions

  • Use your hands to roll the oranges back and forth on the counter top a few times. Use a knife to cut each orange in half.
  • Place each orange half on a citrus juicer, moving the orange from side to side and squeezing out all of the juice. Juice all 8 oranges.
  • Pour the juice into two separate glasses. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Rolling the oranges on the countertop loosens up the juice inside the orange so that more juice comes out when you begin to juice the oranges. 
  • If your oranges aren’t very juicy, you can microwave them for about 10 seconds, which should help. 
  • Make sure to choose ripe oranges so that your juice is sweet. If your orange juice is too tart, you can add some sugar, 1 teaspoon at a time until your desired consistency is reached.
