When I think of the Fourth of July, I immediately picture a day spent in the sun watching a small town parade, followed by swimming, hot dogs, and fireworks. I can practically smell the sunscreen and smoke from the grill, and you know what? It's making me thirsty! That's where these red, white, and blue 4th of July ice cream floats come in! Or, berry ice cream freedom floats, as I like to call them.
The best part about these 4th of July ice cream floats?
They are incredibly simple. Like, so simple you can put your 12-year-old in charge of making them at the beverage station.
And can we talk about how pretty they are? The mix of the strawberry and lemon lime sodas create this wonderful, foamy whipped topping that you can't help but lick as it bubbles at the top. Oh, and let's not forget the juiciness of the blueberries and strawberries—they are the perfect complement to the creamy vanilla ice cream. (And now I'm salivating and desperately needing my own float as I write this.)
Promise me you'll go with the float and make these 4th of July ice cream floats this year! You'll be happy you did—berry happy. 🙂 Grab the recipe below and enjoy!
